Why Japanese?

I had always been a big anime fan ever since I was 6. From watching anime, I learned a lot about Japanese culture and was deeply fascinated by it. I fell in love with the country and always wanted to learn more about it. Last spring break, I went to Japan with two of my friends and I absolutely LOVED it! Therefore, in order to get more involved in the Japanese culture, I really want to learn its language, which leads me into signing this class. 

I am most excited about actually being able to read and write in Japanese, and [eventually] being able to watch anime without the subtitle. I honestly didn't find too many challenging things when learning Japanese, but I did feel like things would be much harder as we continues. Even so, I am ready to take on any challenges!
